Bird Eyewear has worked with Aquapak and ProAmpac to develop their Ecowrap mailer: a water soluble, biodegradable, non-toxic mailer bag made from Hydropol.
Whilst eyewear is their focus, every part of their product gets the same love and attention, including the packaging they use. As a B Corps, they are committed to sourcing better materials and changing habits. With single-use plastics creating a pollution problem in our world – something that affects us all – Bird Eyewear wanted to take an extra step for the planet.
Their earth-friendly mailer bag was designed and created in collaboration with both Aquapak and flexible packaging experts, ProAmpac. Whilst retaining all the functionality of traditional plastic mailing bags, the Ecowrap mailer can be safely dissolved in hot water at the end of its life. Consumers may also recycle it directly, use it as a waste food bag, or simply reuse it.
