Water soluble laundry bags, made using Aquapak’s HydropolTM, have been shortlisted in the Best New Product award finals in the Laundry and Drycleaning Awards (LADAs) 2020.
HydropolTM is used to create domestic and industrial grade water soluble laundry bags. The bags can dissolve at warm and hot temperatures during the wash cycle without leaving any residue. As they also biodegrade safely, are non-toxic and marine-safe, this means less plastic waste when compared to PE laundry bags and more end-of-options to avoid polluting landfills.
Laundry bags and infection control bags are available and in use both here in the UK as well as across USA and Asia. The bags have proved extremely useful for frontline workers’ uniforms, holiday homes, care home workers, police officers and teachers in the fight against COVID-19.
With the impact of COVID-19, this year the LADAs will be broadcast online on 26 November at 4pm.
